About
Built on Idaho Politics. Proven in the Hardest Fights.
Brody Aston founded Aston Public Affairs after more than a decade inside Idaho campaigns and government — learning how decisions actually get made.
Brody Aston
Founder & Principal
Brody Aston has spent 14 years working at the intersection of Idaho politics, policy, and government affairs. He founded Aston Public Affairs to bring a campaign-tested, coalition-driven approach to clients navigating the Idaho Legislature and state agencies.
Before launching the firm, Brody served as Campaign Manager for Congressman Mike Simpson and as a senior advisor to Raúl Labrador's congressional campaign — two of the most competitive federal races in Idaho's recent history. Both candidates he advised still serve in office, with one currently serving as Majority Leader.
That campaign experience translates directly to lobbying. Brody understands how legislators think about political risk, what moves votes, and how to build the inside-the-coalition access that turns difficult issues into wins.
Over 14 years, Aston Public Affairs has represented more than 30 clients across health care, energy, financial services, transportation, and trade associations — consistently delivering results on issues where the politics were already against them.
How I Work
The clients who need the most help are the ones whose politics are already against them. That's where campaign credentials and coalition access matter most — not just knowing the members, but understanding what it takes to move them.
